Online nutrition consultation with a certified nutritionist

Healthy Lifestyle Energy Boost is an online nutrition practice serving adults across Slovenia who want to eat better without rebuilding their whole life around a diet.

Written materials, in your language

Consultations run in English and Slovenian, with written notes and your first individualni jedilnik drafted in whichever language you choose. Clients join from Ljubljana, Bled, Celje, Novo Mesto, and towns with a few hundred residents, plus Slovenians working abroad.

Built for the week you actually have

The plan is local by default: seasonal vegetables from Slovenian markets, ordinary supermarket products, and traditional dishes adapted rather than removed. A meal plan that ignores your job, your family, or your Friday lunch with colleagues is a plan you will abandon in ten days.

No supplements at the core

We do not sell supplements as the core of treatment, and we do not run detox programmes or short-term cleansing plans. This is prehransko svetovanje and nutrition coaching: food, habits, and follow-up, nothing sold alongside it.

What a consultation actually involves

An online consultation is a structured session, usually 45 to 60 minutes, held over video. Before it, you fill in an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, typical meals, and how your digestion behaves on an average week.

After it, you receive written notes and a first version of your individualni jedilnik, a meal plan built around food you already eat and shops you already use. Nothing about this is a crash programme. We build for the version of your week that exists, then adjust from there.

Who tends to book, and why

Most people who come to us fall into a few recognisable groups. If you recognise yourself in any of these, you are not an unusual case. This is standard nutrition coaching work, and the intro call is where we check it fits.

01 Someone has been told their blood sugar or cholesterol needs attention and wants to know what to do at the supermarket on Saturday morning. Blood sugar and cholesterol
02 Someone has bloating, cramps, or irregular digestion and suspects certain foods are involved, but has never tested it properly. Digestive comfort
03 Someone has tried several diets, lost weight, and watched it return, and wants a version that survives an ordinary Tuesday. Weight and habits
04 Someone in their forties wants prehransko svetovanje before anything goes wrong, so their habits hold up over the next thirty years. Long-term wellbeing

Early sessions change a small number of things deliberately. Muscle and fa answer to months of consistent eating and training, not to weeks of willpower.

That is why the people who do well here expected a six-month project and got one.

Nutritionist, dietitian, coach: the labels in Slovenia

The three terms get used loosely, and it is fair to ask what you are actually getting. What matters for you is narrower: does the person ask about your medical history, do they know when to send you to a doctor, and do they give you instructions specific enough to follow on a Tuesday evening? Ask that in the intro call. It is a better filter than a title.

Dietitian

A dietetik in Slovenia typically holds a formally regulated clinical qualification and often works in hospitals or outpatient care, where access can mean a waiting list.

Nutritionist

A nutricionist like the practitioners you find through Healthy Lifestyle Energy Boost works with nutrition and behaviour change, usually outside the hospital system.

Nutrition coach

"Nutrition coach" usually describes someone focused on habits and accountability rather than clinical diets, with less medical grounding behind the title.

Online versus in person

A video posvet removes travel, which in Slovenia is a real factor. Driving from a smaller town to Ljubljana and back for a 45-minute appointment can eat half a working day. Holding the session online means you can do it at 8 pm after your children are asleep, or during a lunch break if you work from home.

The honest trade-off

Nobody weighs you, measures your waist, or measures telesna sestava on our side of the screen. If body-composition tracking matters to you, we tell you how to get it done locally and how to read the numbers. Everything else, from meal planning to reading a prehranski dnevnik, works the same remotely as it does in an office.

Support for specific conditions

Clients come to us with IBS, diagnosed food intolerances, high cholesterol, triglycerides, GERD, and type 2 diabetes management questions. This is nutrition support alongside your doctor's care, not a replacement for it. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or tell you to stop medication.

Where a condition needs medical input, we say so and, where relevant, suggest what to ask your physician. Where the answer is dietary, we build the plan around it. That boundary is not a limitation of online work; it is how nutrition support is supposed to sit beside clinical care.

Building trajnostne spremembe, not a diet

Sustainable change means the plan survives a birthday party, a holiday in Croatia, and a week when you are too tired to cook. That requires flexibility built in from the beginning, plus rules simple enough to remember when you are not reading the plan. Follow-up matters more than any single document: your body, your schedule, and your motivation all shift, and the plan has to shift with them.

The first month

Replace one thing carefully

Early sessions focus on a small number of changes deliberately. Not a full kitchen overhaul. Replacing breakfast, fixing the afternoon gap that turns into evening snacking, or testing whether lactose or wheat is genuinely behind your symptoms.

The longer clock

Metabolic work takes months

Real work on telesna sestava and metabolic health runs on a longer clock. Muscle and fa respond to months of consistent eating and training, not to weeks of willpower. We say this at the start, because the people who do well here expected a six-month project and got one.

The review loop

The plan moves with your life

Follow-up sessions review what worked and rewrite what did not, using what your prehranski dnevnik actually shows rather than what you think you should have eaten.

How the booking flow works

You send a booking request from the contact page with a few details about your situation. You then get a short intro call, free, to check that an online consultation is the right fit and that we can realistically help. If it is, you book the first full session and receive the intake form.

That intro step exists for a reason. Not every request fits this practice, and it is better to know that on a ten-minute call than after you have paid for a full consultation.

01

Send a booking request

A few lines about what you are dealing with, so we come to the intro call prepared.

02

Free intro call

Ten minutes to confirm that an online nutrition consultation is genuinely the right fit for your situation.

03

First full session and intake form

An intake form covering medical history, medications, typical meals and digestion, then a 45 to 60 minute video session.

04

Written notes and your first meal plan

You leave the session with a written summary and a first version of your personalised meal planning document.

05

Follow-up sessions

Regular reviews that adjust the plan as your body, your schedule, and your motivation shift.

Frequently asked questions

The questions that come up most often before a first booking request. If yours is not here, the FAQ page goes further, and the intro call is a fair place to ask anything else.

01 How does an online nutrition consultation work from start to finish?
You send a booking request, have a free short intro call, then book the first session. You complete an intake form beforehand, meet over video for 45 to 60 minutes, and receive written notes plus a first meal plan afterwards. Follow-up sessions review what worked.
02 Do I need lab tests or a food diary before booking?
Neither is required to start. Existing lab results are useful if you have them. A food diary can begin after the first session, when we know what to track and why.
03 What is the difference between a nutritionist, a dietitian, and a nutrition coach in Slovenia?
A dietetik usually holds a regulated clinical qualification, often hospital-based. A nutricionist works on nutrition and habits, commonly outside the hospital system. A nutrition coach focuses on behaviour and accountability. Ask any practitioner how they handle medical history.
04 Can you help with IBS, intolerances, diabetes, or high cholesterol?
Yes, as nutrition support alongside your doctor's care. We do not diagnose or prescribe, and we do not advise changes to medication. Where a condition needs medical input, we say so.
05 How many follow-up sessions are usually needed?
It depends on the goal. Single-issue work like testing an intolerance may take two or three sessions. Metabolic and body-composition work is typically a six-month process with regular reviews.
06 Is online counselling as useful as in-person consultation?
For meal planning, food diaries, and habit work, yes. The one exception is physical measurement, which we handle by telling you how to get it done locally.

What the first documents look like

Your first meal plan and food diary start as ordinary paper on a bench. Not printed promises, not a fixed rule book. Each page is written for your week and rewritten at every review.

Book an initial consultation

The first step is a booking request with a short description of your situation. You then get a free intro call, and if the practice fits, you book the first full session. Consultations run in English and Slovenian, Monday to Friday, from anywhere in Slovenia.
